| The Australian SAM Sustainability Index is
published by SAM Indexes and was launched with the support
of the Environment Protection Authority of Victoria as well
as the newspaper The Australian.
SAM Indexes is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAM Group –
the world renowned pioneer in sustainability investing –
and is the operating company for the group's index business
that also includes the publication and licensing of the Dow
Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI). The managing director
of SAM Indexes takes responsibility for the operation of the
company. The AuSSI Index Design Committee is responsible for
all decisions affecting the AuSSI, including changes to the
composition and methodology.
The AuSSI Advisory Board provides insights into the field
of sustainability and investing, advises on possible implications
for sustainability-driven portfolio management and offers
input regarding methodology, marketing and product development
for the AuSSI.
